Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do you cater to dietary restrictions? (i.e. Gluten Free, Vegan, Dairy Free, etc.)
-
I am happy to bake for any dietary restriction! I have made pies that are vegan, gluten free, paleo, or cater to restrictive diets. I really enjoy the challenge of melding baking and science to yield an exceptional result. Please feel free to e-mail me about any specific requests!
-
Note: I take allergies very seriously and given that my kitchen is not allergen free, I do not accept orders for those with nut allergies.
-
-
How long will it take to make my order?
-
Most orders take 24-48 hours to fulfill. A specific pick-up/delivery date and time will be determined upon ordering. My best advice is to order early (and often!)
-
-
Do you sell wholesale?
-
Not at this point -see "Cottage Food Act". Selling wholesale requires different licensing and a commercial kitchen, neither of which I have at this point in time.
-
-
Where can I find your delightful looking treats?
-
In your house when you order!
-
At the Larimer County Farmers' Market and the Timath Farmer's Market
(See my Events page for specific dates)

-
What is the "Cottage Food Act" you keep referencing?
-
Glad you asked! The Cottage Food Act is a legislation that allows home cooks to legally sell certain products from their home kitchens. Under this act I am allowed to sell non-potentially hazardous foods direct to consumers. I have also completed the required food safety course.

-
Where are your cakes listed?
-
They are not listed anywhere because I do not offer cakes. There are so many wonderful cake bakers in Fort Collins that I hold in the highest of regard because they are better at making cakes than I am!
-
-
Why are there no custard/cream pies listed?
-
Custard and Cream pies are classified as "potentially hazardous" because they require refrigeration so I am unable to offer them at this time.
-
-
Can I make a flavor request?
-
Absolutely! I am happy to make special pies - provided they fall under the cottage food act. E-mail me to ask.
-
-
Can I get a seasonal pie out of season?
-
Sorry but no. Aligned seasonal fruits make the most delicious pies!
-
-
What's your favorite fruit pie?
-
It's a tie between Blueberry and Apple - it depends on the season.
